Storyboard: Maya wakes up early as the warm sunlight fills her bedroom. She prepares a quick breakfast, drinks her morning coffee, and packs her laptop bag for the office.
ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ നേരത്തെ ഉണരുന്നു.I wake up early this morning.
കിടപ്പുമുറിയിൽ ഇളം വെയിൽ നിറയുന്നു.Warm sunlight fills the bedroom.
കട്ടിലിൽ നിന്ന് എഴുന്നേൽക്കുന്നു.I get out of bed.
ജനൽ തുറക്കുന്നു.I open the window.

Storyboard: Maya walks to the nearby bus stop and boards the bus to Infopark. She pays the conductor for her ticket, finds a seat by the window, and watches the busy city traffic pass by.
ഞാൻ ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിലേക്ക് നടക്കുന്നു.I walk to the bus stop.
സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ കുറച്ചു ആളുകൾ ഉണ്ട്.There are a few people at the stop.
ഇൻഫോപാർക്കിലേക്കുള്ള ബസ് വരുന്നു.The bus to Infopark arrives.
ഞാൻ ആ ബസ്സിൽ കയറുന്നു.I get on that bus.
കണ്ടക്ടർ എൻ്റെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വരുന്നു.The conductor comes near me.
"എങ്ങോട്ടാണ്?" അയാൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നു."Where to?" he asks.
"ഇൻഫോപാർക്കിലേക്ക്.""To Infopark."
"ഒരു ടിക്കറ്റ്," ഞാൻ മറുപടി പറയുന്നു."One ticket," I reply.
"ഇരുപതു രൂപ," അയാൾ പറയുന്നു."Twenty rupees," he says.
ഞാൻ ഇരുപതു രൂപ അയാൾക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്നു.I give twenty rupees to him.
അയാൾ എനിക്ക് ടിക്കറ്റ് തരുന്നു.He gives me the ticket.
എനിക്ക് ജനലിനടുത്ത് ഒരു സീറ്റ് കിട്ടുന്നു.I get a seat near the window.
ഞാൻ ആ സീറ്റിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.I sit in that seat.
ബസ് തിരക്കുള്ള നഗരത്തിലൂടെ പോകുന്നു.The bus goes through the busy city.
ഞാൻ ജനലിലൂടെ പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കുന്നു.I look outside through the window.

Storyboard: Inside the air-conditioned software office, Maya sits at her desk typing on her computer. Her colleague Prakash walks over, and they look at the screen together to discuss a new software project.
ഞാൻ ഇൻഫോപാർക്കിലെ ഓഫീസിലാണ്.I am in the Infopark office.
ഓഫീസിൽ എസിയുടെ നല്ല തണുപ്പുണ്ട്.There is a nice coolness from the AC in the office.
ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഡെസ്കിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.I sit at my desk.
ഞാൻ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറിൽ പുതിയ സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയർ ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യുന്നു.I type the new software on the computer.
അപ്പോൾ പ്രകാശ് എന്റെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വരുന്നു.Then Prakash comes near me.

office lunch break
Storyboard: At lunchtime, Maya and Prakash go to the office cafeteria. They sit at their usual table, eat their meals, and chat easily — Prakash jokes about the office coffee, and Maya tells him about last Thursday's badminton game.
സമയം ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ഒരു മണിയാണ്.The time is one o'clock in the afternoon.
ഞാനും പ്രകാശും കാന്റീനിൽ പോകുന്നു.Prakash and I go to the cafeteria.
ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പതിവ് മേശയ്ക്കരികിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.We sit at our usual table.
പ്രകാശ് ചോറും മീൻകറിയും കഴിക്കുന്നു.Prakash eats rice and fish curry.
ഞാൻ ഒരു സാൻഡ്‌വിച്ച് കഴിക്കുന്നു.I eat a sandwich.
ഞങ്ങൾ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.We chat happily.

"മായ, ഈ കാപ്പിക്ക് ഒരു സ്വാദും ഇല്ല," പ്രകാശ് പറയുന്നു."Maya, this coffee has no taste," Prakash says.
ഞാൻ ചിരിക്കുന്നു.I laugh.
പിന്നെ ഞാൻ ബാഡ്മിന്റണിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പറയുന്നു.Then I talk about badminton.
"ബാഡ്മിന്റൺ നന്നായി പോകുന്നു," ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു."The badminton is going very well," I say.
"വ്യാഴാഴ്ചയിലെ കളിയാണ് എന്റെ ആഴ്ചയിലെ ഏറ്റവും നല്ല സമയം.""The Thursday games are the best part of my week."
"അത് വളരെ നല്ലതാണ്," പ്രകാശ് പറയുന്നു."That is very good," Prakash says.
ഞങ്ങൾ ഉച്ചഭക്ഷണം വേഗം കഴിക്കുന്നു.We eat our lunch quickly.

Storyboard: When the workday finishes, Maya boards a bus back towards the city center. She steps off at a busy junction near her neighbourhood, ready to run a few errands.
അഞ്ചു മണിക്ക് എൻ്റെ ജോലി തീരുന്നു.My work finishes at five o'clock.
ഞാൻ ഓഫീസിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തിറങ്ങുന്നു.I walk out of the office.
ഞാൻ ഇൻഫോപാർക്ക് ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ കാത്തുനിൽക്കുന്നു.I wait at the Infopark bus stop.
സിറ്റി സെൻ്ററിലേക്കുള്ള ബസ് വരുന്നു.The bus to the city center comes.
ഞാൻ ബസ്സിൽ കയറുന്നു.I get on the bus.
ഇന്ന് ബസ്സിൽ നല്ല തിരക്കാണ്.The bus is very crowded today.
ഞാൻ ഒരു ടിക്കറ്റ് വാങ്ങുന്നു.I buy a ticket.
എനിക്ക് സീറ്റ് കിട്ടുന്നില്ല.I do not get a seat.
കുറച്ചു കഴിയുമ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരു വലിയ കവലയിൽ എത്തുന്നു.After a while, we reach a big junction.

helping a tourist
Storyboard: As Maya walks away from the bus stop, a tourist approaches her and asks for directions to the nearest metro station. Maya politely points down the road and explains the correct route.
റോഡിൽ നല്ല തിരക്കുണ്ട്.There is a lot of traffic on the road.
അപ്പോൾ ഒരു ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് എന്റെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വരുന്നു.Then a tourist comes towards me.
അയാൾ ഫോണിൽ ഒരു മാപ്പ് നോക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.He is looking at a map on his phone.
അയാൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നു, "ക്ഷമിക്കണം, മെട്രോ സ്റ്റേഷൻ എവിടെയാണ്?"He asks, "Excuse me, where is the metro station?"
"മെട്രോ സ്റ്റേഷൻ ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് കുറച്ച് ദൂരെയാണ്," ഞാൻ മറുപടി പറയുന്നു.I reply, "The metro station is a little far from here."
ഞാൻ നേരെ മുന്നോട്ട് കൈ ചൂണ്ടുന്നു.I point my hand straight ahead.
ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു, "നിങ്ങൾ ഈ റോഡിലൂടെ നേരെ പോകൂ."I say, "You go straight along this road."
"അവിടെ നിന്ന് ബസ് നേരെ മെട്രോ സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നു.""From there, the bus goes straight to the metro station."
"ബസ്സുകൾ ഇടയ്ക്കിടെ വരും.""The buses come often."
അയാൾ ചോദിക്കുന്നു, "അത് ദൂരെയാണോ?"He asks, "Is it far?"
"ബസ്സിൽ ആണെങ്കിൽ ദൂരം ഇല്ല," ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു.I say, "By bus, it is not far."
"ഏകദേശം പത്ത് മിനിറ്റ് മതി.""It takes only about ten minutes."
അയാൾ ചിരിക്കുന്നു.He smiles.
അയാൾ പറയുന്നു, "വളരെ നന്ദി."He says, "Thank you very much."
ഞാൻ ചിരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് പറയുന്നു, "സന്തോഷം."I smile and say, "You are welcome."
അയാൾ മുന്നോട്ട് നടക്കുന്നു.He walks forward.
ഞാൻ എന്റെ വഴിക്ക് നടക്കുന്നു.I walk on my way.
buying fresh vegetables
Storyboard: Maya continues down the street and stops at a small local shop. She greets the vendor, asks for fresh tomatoes and onions, pays in rupees, and carefully puts the items into her bag.
ഞാൻ ഒരു ചെറിയ പച്ചക്കറിക്കട കാണുന്നു.I see a small vegetable shop.
ഞാൻ ആ കടയുടെ മുന്നിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു.I stand in front of that shop.
കടയിൽ ഒരാൾ നിൽക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.A man is standing in the shop.
"നമസ്കാരം," ഞാൻ അയാളോട് പറയുന്നു."Hello," I say to him.
"നമസ്കാരം," അയാൾ എന്നോട് പറയുന്നു."Hello," he says to me.
"നല്ല തക്കാളി ഉണ്ടോ?" ഞാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നു."Do you have fresh tomatoes?" I ask.
"ഉണ്ട്, നല്ല തക്കാളിയുണ്ട്," അയാൾ പറയുന്നു."Yes, there are good tomatoes," he says.
"എനിക്ക് തക്കാളിയും സവാളയും വേണം," ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു."I need tomatoes and onions," I say.
അയാൾ കുറച്ച് തക്കാളിയും സവാളയും എടുക്കുന്നു.He takes some tomatoes and onions.
അയാൾ അത് തൂക്കി നോക്കുന്നു.He weighs it.
"വില എത്രയാണ്?" ഞാൻ ചോദിക്കുന്നു."How much is the price?" I ask.
"എൺപത് രൂപ," അയാൾ പറയുന്നു."Eighty rupees," he says.
ഞാൻ എൻ്റെ ബാഗിൽ നിന്ന് പണം എടുക്കുന്നു.I take money from my bag.
ഞാൻ അയാൾക്ക് എൺപത് രൂപ കൊടുക്കുന്നു.I give him eighty rupees.
അയാൾ പച്ചക്കറികൾ എനിക്ക് തരുന്നു.He gives me the vegetables.
ഞാൻ ആ പച്ചക്കറികൾ സൂക്ഷിച്ച് എൻ്റെ സഞ്ചിയിൽ വെക്കുന്നു.I carefully put those vegetables into my bag.
ഞാൻ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് നടക്കുന്നു.I walk towards home.
arriving at the flat
Storyboard: Maya reaches her apartment building and walks up the stairs to her floor. She unlocks her door, walks into her quiet flat, and sets down her laptop bag and the vegetables she picked up on the way.
എന്റെ അപ്പാർട്ട്മെന്റ് കെട്ടിടത്തിൽ എത്തി ഞാൻ പടികൾ കയറുന്നു.Arriving at my apartment building, I climb the stairs.
ബാഗിൽ നിന്ന് താക്കോൽ എടുത്ത് വാതിൽ തുറക്കുന്നു.Taking the key from the bag, I open the door.
അകത്തേക്ക് കയറി വാതിൽ അടയ്ക്കുന്നു.Stepping inside, I close the door.
ഞാൻ വാതിലിനടുത്ത് വെച്ച് ഷൂസ് ഊരുന്നു.I take off my shoes near the door.
ഫ്ലാറ്റ് വളരെ ശാന്തമാണ്.The flat is very quiet.
ഇപ്പോൾ പുറത്ത് നല്ല ചൂടാണ്.It is very hot outside now.
അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ലൈറ്റും ഫാനും ഇടുന്നു.Therefore, I turn on the light and fan.
ലാപ്‌ടോപ്പ് ബാഗും പച്ചക്കറികളും മേശപ്പുറത്ത് വെക്കുന്നു.I put the laptop bag and vegetables on the table.
ഞാൻ അടുക്കളയിലേക്ക് നടക്കുന്നു.I walk to the kitchen.
ഒരു ഗ്ലാസ് വെള്ളം എടുത്ത് കുടിക്കുന്നു.I take a glass of water and drink it.
അതിനുശേഷം ഞാൻ സോഫയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.After that, I sit on the sofa.
ഇന്നത്തെ ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞു.Today's work is finished.
എനിക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ നല്ല ക്ഷീണമുണ്ട്.I am very tired now.

Storyboard: In the evening, Maya knocks on the door of her neighbour, Anitha. Anitha warmly invites her inside, and the two friends sit together drinking tea and happily discussing their day.
വൈകുന്നേരം ഞാൻ അനിതയുടെ വാതിലിൽ മുട്ടുന്നു.In the evening, I knock on Anitha's door.
അനിത വാതിൽ തുറക്കുന്നു.Anitha opens the door.
അവർ എന്നെ കണ്ട് സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ചിരിക്കുന്നു.She sees me and smiles happily.
"അകത്തേക്ക് വരൂ, മായ," അനിത പറയുന്നു."Come inside, Maya," Anitha says.
ഞാൻ അകത്തേക്ക് പോകുന്നു.I go inside.
ഞങ്ങൾ സോഫയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.We sit on the sofa.
അനിത എനിക്ക് ഒരു കപ്പ് ചൂട് ചായ തരുന്നു.Anitha gives me a cup of hot tea.
ചായയ്ക്ക് നല്ല രുചിയുണ്ട്.The tea is very tasty.
ഞങ്ങൾ പതുക്കെ ചായ കുടിക്കുന്നു.We drink the tea slowly.
"ഇന്നത്തെ ദിവസം എങ്ങനെയുണ്ട്?" അവർ ചോദിക്കുന്നു."How is your day today?" she asks.
ഞാൻ ഓഫീസിലെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ അവരോട് പറയുന്നു.I tell her about things at the office.
"ഇന്ന് ഓഫീസിലെ ജോലി വളരെ എളുപ്പമാണ്," ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു."The work at the office is very easy today," I say.
അനിത അവരുടെ ദിവസത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.Anitha talks about her day.
"ഞാൻ ഇന്ന് വീട്ടിൽ ആണ്," അവർ പറയുന്നു."I am at home today," she says.
"ഞാൻ ഒരു മലയാളം പുസ്തകം വായിക്കുന്നു.""I am reading a Malayalam book."
ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുപാട് നേരം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.We talk for a long time.
അനിതയോട് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത് എനിക്ക് വലിയ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്.I really like talking to Anitha.
അവരുടെ വീട് എപ്പോഴും വളരെ ശാന്തമാണ്.Her home is always very peaceful.
ചായ കുടിച്ച ശേഷം ഞാൻ എൻ്റെ ഫ്ലാറ്റിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങുന്നു.After having tea, I return to my flat.
എനിക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ വളരെ സന്തോഷമുണ്ട്.I am very happy now.
