Storyboard: On a quiet Sunday morning, Maya walks to the neighborhood corner shop. She addresses the shopkeeper as 'bhaiya' and buys one box of bright, colorful Indian sweets, planning to show them to her family.
आज रविवार आहे.Today is Sunday.
सकाळची वेळ आहे.It is morning time.
माझा परिसर अगदी शांत आहे.My neighborhood is very quiet.
मी एका कोपऱ्यावरच्या दुकानात जाते.I go to a corner shop.
तिथे एक दुकानदार आहे.There is one shopkeeper there.
मी त्यांना 'दादा' म्हणते.I call him 'Dada'.
त्यांच्या दुकानात खूप रंगीबेरंगी मिठाई आहे.There are very colorful sweets in his shop.

Storyboard: Back in her room, Maya sits at her desk and initiates a video call on her laptop. She waits for the connection, thinking about the time difference—it is morning in Mumbai, but still Saturday evening in Mexico.

आई स्क्रीनवर बघते.Mother looks at the screen.
ती म्हणते, "तुझी खोली खूप सुंदर आहे."She says, "Your room is very beautiful."
बाहेर एक माणूस मोठ्याने बोलत आहे.A man is speaking loudly outside.
बाबा विचारतात, "तिथे कोण आहे?"Dad asks, "Who is there?"
मी हसते आणि म्हणते, "तो एक भाजीवाला आहे."I laugh and say, "That is a vegetable vendor."
बाबा म्हणतात, "तुझी खोली खरोखर खूप छान आहे."Dad says, "Your room is really very nice."
माझे आई-बाबा माझी नवीन खोली बघून खूश आहेत.My parents are happy seeing my new room.

Storyboard: Maya opens the box from the corner shop in front of the camera. Her father asks what is in it, and she proudly shows off the local sweets, explaining what they are and wishing she could share them.

माझे बाबा डब्याकडे बघतात.My father looks at the box.
ते विचारतात, "माया, तुझ्या डब्यात काय आहे?"He asks, "Maya, what is in your box?"
मी आनंदाने तो डबा उघडते.I happily open that box.
मी सांगते, "बाबा, यात भारतीय मिठाई आहे."I say, "Papa, there are Indian sweets in this."
मी त्यांना मिठाई दाखवते.I show them the sweets.
"बघा, हा माझा आवडता पेढा आहे.""Look, this is my favorite pedha."
"आणि ही काजू कतली आहे.""And this is kaju katli."
"ही मिठाई कोण बनवते?" बाबा विचारतात."Who makes these sweets?" Papa asks.
"माझ्या घराजवळ एक दुकान आहे," मी सांगते."There is a shop near my house," I say.
"ते काका ही छान मिठाई बनवतात.""That uncle makes these nice sweets."
डब्यात खूप रंगीबेरंगी मिठाई आहे.There are very colorful sweets in the box.
बाबा हसतात आणि म्हणतात, "ती खूप छान दिसते."Papa smiles and says, "It looks very nice."
मी एक पेढा उचलते.I pick up one pedha.
मी म्हणते, "ही मिठाई तुमच्यासाठी पण आहे."I say, "These sweets are for you too."
"पण तुम्ही खूप दूर आहात!""But you are very far away!"
बाबा म्हणतात, "तू आमच्यासाठी एक पेढा खा."Papa says, "You eat one pedha for us."
मी हसते आणि तो गोड पेढा खाते.I smile and eat that sweet pedha.

Storyboard: Her younger sister, Sofia, grabs the phone. Maya switches to the familiar register as they joke around. Maya holds her phone up to the camera to show a photo of herself with her new neighbour; Sofia asks, 'Who is that?', and Maya explains it is Asha, from her building.
माझी लहान बहीण, सोफिया, फोन घेते.My younger sister, Sofia, takes the phone.
ती मोठ्याने हसते.She laughs loudly.
"तू कशी आहेस, सोफिया?" मी विचारते."How are you, Sofia?" I ask.

सोफिया फोटो पाहते.Sofia looks at the photo.
"ही कोण आहे?" ती विचारते."Who is this?" she asks.
"ही माझी मैत्रीण आहे," मी सांगते."This is my friend," I say.
"तिचे नाव आशा आहे.""Her name is Asha."
"ती माझी शेजारीण आहे.""She is my neighbour."
"ती माझ्या इमारतीत राहते.""She lives in my building."
"ती खूप चांगली आहे," मी हसून सांगते."She is very nice," I say with a laugh.
सोफिया हसते.Sofia laughs.
"तुझी मैत्रीण छान आहे," ती म्हणते."Your friend is nice," she says.
आम्ही दोघी खूप गप्पा मारतो.We both chat a lot.

Storyboard: Her elder brother, Diego, leans into the frame next to Sofia. He asks about her job, and Maya happily tells him about the office, the people, and her helpful colleague Rohan.
आता माझा मोठा भाऊ, डिएगो, स्क्रीनवर येतो.Now my elder brother, Diego, comes onto the screen.
तो सोफियाच्या बाजूला बसतो.He sits next to Sofia.
डिएगो हसतो आणि माझ्याकडे बघतो.Diego smiles and looks at me.
"माया, तुझी नवीन नोकरी कशी आहे?" तो विचारतो."Maya, how is your new job?" he asks.
"माझी नोकरी खूप छान आहे," मी त्याला सांगते."My job is very nice," I tell him.
"माझं ऑफिस खूप मोठं आहे.""My office is very big."
"तिथे लोक कसे आहेत?" डिएगो विचारतो."How are the people there?" Diego asks.
"तिथले लोक खूप चांगले आहेत," मी म्हणते."The people there are very nice," I say.
"ऑफिसमध्ये तुझा मित्र कोण आहे?" तो विचारतो."Who is your friend in the office?" he asks.
"तिथे माझा एक मित्र आहे," मी सांगते."I have one friend there," I say.
"त्याचं नाव रोहन आहे.""His name is Rohan."
"तो माझा सहकारी आहे.""He is my colleague."
"तो मला खूप मदत करतो," मी आनंदाने सांगते."He helps me a lot," I say happily.
"रोहन इंजिनिअर आहे का?" सोफिया विचारते."Is Rohan an engineer?" Sofia asks.
"हो, तो सॉफ्टवेअर इंजिनिअर आहे," मी तिला सांगते."Yes, he is a software engineer," I tell her.
डिएगो आणि सोफिया खूप आनंदी दिसतात.Diego and Sofia look very happy.
मला माझं नवीन काम आवडतं.I like my new work.
आणि मला माझं ऑफिसही आवडतं.And I like my office too.

Storyboard: A loud bark interrupts the conversation as Lola, the family dog, jumps into view. Maya laughs and talks affectionately to the dog using 'tum', telling Lola she is a good girl.
अचानक एक मोठा आवाज येतो.Suddenly, a loud noise comes.
"भौ!""Woof!"
"भौ!""Woof!"
एक कुत्रा स्क्रीनसमोर उडी मारतो.A dog jumps in front of the screen.
हा कोण आहे?Who is this?
ती लोला आहे!She is Lola!
लोला आमची कुत्री आहे.Lola is our dog.
मी खूप हसते.I laugh a lot.
"हे लोला!" मी आनंदाने म्हणते."Hey Lola!" I say happily.
लोला स्क्रीनकडे बघते.Lola looks at the screen.
ती पुन्हा भुंकते.She barks again.
"तू कशी आहेस, लोला?" मी विचारते."How are you, Lola?" I ask.
"तू माझं शहाणं पिल्लू आहेस," मी प्रेमाने सांगते."You are my good pup," I say lovingly.
डिएगो हसतो.Diego laughs.
"लोला तुझी कुत्री आहे, माया," डिएगो म्हणतो."Lola is your dog, Maya," Diego says.
"ती तुला शोधते," तो सांगतो."She looks for you," he says.
तिचा चेहरा खूप गोड आहे.Her face is very sweet.
मला माझी लोला खूप आवडते.I love my Lola very much.

Storyboard: The family sends their love and they finally say their goodbyes. Maya closes the laptop, and the screen goes dark, leaving her sitting alone in the sudden quiet of her room.
आता स्क्रीनवर कोण आहे?Who is on the screen now?
माझे संपूर्ण कुटुंब स्क्रीनवर आहे.My entire family is on the screen.
माझी आई आणि माझे वडील हसतात.My mother and my father smile.
आई म्हणते, "माया, स्वतःची काळजी घे."Mother says, "Maya, take care of yourself."
मी म्हणते, "हो आई, तुम्ही पण."I say, "Yes mother, you too."
माझी बहीण सोफिया आणि माझा भाऊ डिएगो हात हलवतात.My sister Sofia and my brother Diego wave.
डिएगो विचारतो, "तुझा पुढचा कॉल कधी आहे?"Diego asks, "When is your next call?"
मी सांगते, "पुढच्या रविवारी!"I say, "Next Sunday!"
