Storyboard: On Friday evening, Asha arrives at Maya's door with her dog Moti, a heavy bag of dog food, and his leash. She thanks Maya profusely for agreeing to dog-sit for the weekend while she goes out of town.
आज शुक्रवारची संध्याकाळ आहे.Today is Friday evening.
माझ्या दाराची बेल वाजते.My doorbell rings.
मी दरवाजा उघडते.I open the door.
बाहेर माझी मैत्रीण आशा उभी आहे.Outside, my friend Asha is standing.

Storyboard: Before leaving, Asha explains Moti's care routine, setting clear rules: he must be fed at exactly eight o'clock in the morning and evening, he must stay on his leash in the park, and giving him human snacks is strictly forbidden. Maya listens carefully and reassures her that she understands.

Storyboard: Early Saturday morning, Maya takes Moti for a walk in the local park. When he spots a squirrel and pulls hard to chase it, Maya holds tight, enforcing Asha's rule that keeping him leashed in the park is mandatory.

Storyboard: Back in the flat, Maya checks the clock to ensure it is exactly eight, following the strict feeding schedule. When Moti jumps up excitedly, she firmly commands him to wait, places the metal bowl on the floor, and uses an object pronoun to tell him to eat it.

Storyboard: Maya safely leaves Moti resting inside her flat while she attends her regular Saturday morning volunteering shift at the neighbourhood café. When she returns and opens the door, Moti excitedly slips past her and wanders off down the apartment hallway; Maya urgently uses imperative verbs to call him back to her.
शनिवारी सकाळी मी कॅफेमधील माझे काम संपवते.On Saturday morning, I finish my work at the café.
मी माझ्या इमारतीत परत येते.I come back to my building.
मोती माझ्या फ्लॅटमध्ये आहे.Moti is inside my flat.

"माझ्याकडे ये," मी त्याला सांगते."Come to me," I tell him.
पण तो अजिबात हलत नाही.But he does not move at all.
मी त्याला लवकर पकडले पाहिजे.I must catch him quickly.
मी पटकन त्याच्याकडे जाते आणि त्याचा पट्टा पकडते.I quickly go towards him and grab his collar.

Storyboard: Back at the flat on Saturday afternoon, Maya catches Moti happily gnawing on one of her sandals. She claps her hands, using imperatives to command him to drop it and give it to her immediately, before swapping the shoe for his toy.
शनिवारची दुपार आहे.It is Saturday afternoon.
मी माझ्या खोलीत आहे.I am in my room.
अचानक मला हॉलमधून काहीतरी चावण्याचा आवाज येतो.Suddenly, I hear a chewing sound from the hall.
मी बाहेर जाते आणि तिथे मोतीला पाहते.I go outside and see Moti there.
तो माझा एक सँडल आनंदाने चावत आहे!He is happily chewing one of my sandals!
मी लगेच मोठ्याने टाळ्या वाजवते.I immediately clap my hands loudly.
"मोती, नाही!""Moti, no!"
"ते खाली ठेव!" मी ओरडते."Drop that!" I shout.
तो माझ्याकडे पाहतो पण सँडल सोडत नाही.He looks at me but does not let go of the sandal.
"मोती, ते मला लगेच दे," मी त्याला कडक आवाजात सांगते."Moti, give it to me immediately," I tell him in a strict voice.
"तू चपला खाऊ नये," मी त्याला समजावते."You must not eat sandals," I explain to him.
तो हळूच सँडल जमिनीवर ठेवतो.He slowly puts the sandal on the floor.
मी पुढे जाते आणि लगेच ते उचलते.I go forward and immediately pick it up.
मग मी त्याचे आवडते खेळणे घेते.Then I take his favourite toy.

Storyboard: On Sunday afternoon, Maya is sitting on a park bench eating a warm bun maska when Moti begs with big, sad eyes. She firmly tells him no, reminding him that eating human food is forbidden, and instead gives him one of his specific dog treats.
रविवारची दुपार छान आहे.Sunday afternoon is pleasant.
मोती आणि मी बागेत आहोत.Moti and I are in the park.
आम्ही एका बाकावर बसलो आहोत.We are sitting on a bench.
मी गरम बन मस्का खात आहे.I am eating a warm bun maska.

Storyboard: Sunday evening, Asha returns to collect Moti, who wags his tail furiously at the door. Maya hands back his leash and bowls, reporting warmly that he was a lovely guest, though she laughingly admits the sandal incident and shows Asha the slightly chewed shoe.
आज रविवारची संध्याकाळ आहे.Today is Sunday evening.
दाराची बेल वाजते आणि मी दार उघडते.The doorbell rings and I open the door.
बाहेर आशा उभी आहे.Asha is standing outside.
मोती तिला बघतो आणि दाराजवळ जातो.Moti sees her and goes near the door.
तो वेगाने त्याची शेपटी हलवतो.He wags his tail furiously.

"पण मला तुला एक गोष्ट सांगितली पाहिजे," मी म्हणते."But I must tell you one thing," I say.

"त्याने माझी चप्पल थोडी चावली," मी हसत सांगते."He chewed my sandal a little," I say laughing.
आशा मोत्याकडे बघते.Asha looks at Moti.
"मोती, तू चपला चावू नयेस!" ती त्याला रागावून म्हणते."Moti, you must not chew sandals!" she says to him angrily.
आशा माझी माफी मागते.Asha asks for my forgiveness.
"काही हरकत नाही, तो अजून लहान आहे," मी तिला सांगते."It doesn't matter, he is still young," I tell her.
"तुम्ही दोघे आता घरी जा," मी हसून म्हणते."You two go home now," I say smiling.
मोती माझ्याकडे बघतो आणि पुन्हा शेपटी हलवतो.Moti looks at me and wags his tail again.
मला त्याची नक्कीच आठवण येईल.I will definitely miss him.
